Built as Southern Pacific 1491 in October, 1952, part of the first order for six units. It was renumbered Southern Pacific 2355 in the 1965 general renumbering, and was retired in August, 1974. It was sold for scrap to Purdy Metals in Ewing, California, in December, 1974.
