Ferrocarriles Unidos de Yucatan 301 > Ferrocarriles Unidos de Sureste 106 > Nacionales de Mexico 5303

Built as Ferrocarriles Unidos de Yucatan 301 in December, 1960. It became Ferrocarriles Unidos de Sureste 106 in the 1975 merger, and Nacionales de Mexico 5303 in the 1988 merger.

This order was split with Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Obras Publicas 7133-6 (SCOP – Secretariat of Communications and Public Works), intended for use on sister Ferrocarril de Sureste.

The paint scheme is orange with a mid-hood yellow stripe, with black running gear and lettering.

This unit was built at nearly the end of Alco S6 production and represents a Phase III unit. Changes include the newer buffer (coupler box) and louvered hood doors.
